Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $37,000- $43,000 (Based on Qualification)

Position Overview:
The Next-Generation Pastor plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Life Church by providing dynamic leadership and pastoral care to our Student Ministry, and Young Adult Ministry. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that engage and nurture the next generation of believers, fostering spiritual growth, and building a strong community of faith across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement innovative strategies for Student, and Young Adult ministries that align with the church's vision and mission. Evaluate and adapt programs to meet the evolving needs of our community.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students, young adults, and volunteer teams. Be available for counseling, prayer, and spiritual support as needed.
  • Teaching and Preaching: Prepare and deliver engaging and doctrinally sound teachings for various age groups. Occasionally serve as an associate pastor and fill in for preaching duties as required.
  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers. Cultivate a culture of leadership development and discipleship within the ministry teams.
  • Community Engagement: Foster connections with local schools, organizations, and the broader community to create outreach opportunities and support the church's mission field, specifically as it relates to students and student ministry.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the pastoral team and church leadership to ensure alignment with overall church goals. Maintain open lines of communication and develop relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates and involving them in the ministry.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A strong, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for evangelism and discipleship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Ministry, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in ministry leadership, with a proven track record in student, or young adult ministry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of individuals and age groups.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to develop teams and leaders.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to initiate and manage change effectively.
  • Must be bilingual. Able to read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish fluently.
  • Technologically proficient, skilled in the use of computers, Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and general technology related to communications and administration.
  • Adaptable and innovative thinker with a heart for serving the community and advancing the Gospel.
  • Commitment to the doctrine and values of Life Church of San Antonio.
